Message from Coach Mahoney-
Our seniors has been a part of the UPREP softball program for 4 years. Emily and Kaylin have uplifting, positive attitudes that they bring to our softball program as an upperclassman. They are both multi-sport athletes and they truly understand what it means to be a student-athlete representing UPREP. They model being a student comes first and getting the work done in the classroom is just as important as on the field. They believe that working hard at practice may be challenging, but at the end of the day those are the best practices because we all grow. (And hey, it’s never too late to learn how to slide). The goals they set at the beginning of this year showed they cared about bringing a team together and working together to create something great. I am honored that I got the opportunity to coach these young ladies and see them grow over the last 4 years.
I’m sad to see their season get cut short, but I know these seniors will continue to live out the character traits and values they learned at KIPP in college and beyond. We are so proud of them and can’t wait to hear about their amazing accomplishments in the future. Good luck! -Coach Mahoney
